The 2011 Corbatera is a classical-styled blend of Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon and white Macabeo from a warm and dry vintage that tips the scale at 16% alcohol. It fermented with selected yeast and went through malo in barrels where it matured in contact with the lees for one year. The nose has plenty of notes of chocolate and sweet spices wrapping around a core of very ripe fruit with some rusticity. The palate is full-bodied, with powerful flavors and a warm finish, no doubt lifted by the alcohol. An XXL Montsant. 3,000 bottles produced.
