This wine comes from an organically farmed vineyard site in La Morra that is not part of the official MGA (Menzioni Geografiche Aggiuntive) map. The Negretti 2017 Barolo Mirau opens to aromas of crushed flower, dried rose and anise. Those floral aromas establish an accessible and open-knit approach that is in line with other wines from this hot and dry vintage. Those delicate aromas cede to crushed mineral and iron ore. This wine maintains a delicate and carefully measured personality with a little more structural and tannic definition. Annual production for this wine is anywhere between 8,000 to 10,000 bottles.
