The 400-case cuvee of 2000 Hartford Zinfandel Fanucci-Wood Road Vineyard (from vines planted in 1904) boasts a mere 16% alcohol. Raspberry liqueur intermixed with briery, berry fruit, and a distinctive peppery earthiness are characteristics of this full-throttle, "balls-to-the-walls" Zinfandel.
