The purple-colored 2006 Pago la Jara (G) was sourced from ungrafted 50-year-old vines and aged for 18 months in barrique. The nose displays tons of spice, and a confiture of black fruits. Sweet, dense, and layered, it requires 3-5 years of additional cellaring. This opulent offering will be in its prime from 2013 to 2026.
The talented Telmo Rodriguez makes a wide range of high quality wines from both ends of the price spectrum.
