A blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot and 3% Merlot, the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon was aged in 30% new French oak barriques for 18 months. Deep garnet color with a purple tinge, it offers aromas of crushed black currants, ripe blackberries and wild blueberries over pencil shavings, cloves and tree bark. The medium bodied palate has a solid structure of crisp acid and medium-firm, grainy tannins with just enough muscular fruit and a long savory finish. Drinking now, it should keep to 2018+.
