Amiot's Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes (aged in 10% new oak) bursts with dried flowers as well as cassis-laden aromas, and possesses a beautifully delineated core of tangy blueberries, black cherries and violets in its highly structured, oily-textured medium-to-full bodied character. Delicious now, its structure and ripe tannins will allow it to age marvelously. Anticipated maturity: 1998-2009. Christian Amiot has been responsible for this estate's wines since 1990 and the quality of his wines has progressed admirably with each vintage. As Robert Parker stated in issue # 100 (August, 1995), the wines of the Domaine Amiot-Servelle "go from strength to strength."
