The 2014 Barolo 4 Vigne offers a tight and compact quality of fruit that surrounds a core of dark cherry. Of the various non-vineyard-specific Barolos released this year by Cascina Adelaide, this wine is the most focused and balanced. It is also more contained in terms of ripeness, and you therefore get a better sense of its inner elegance. Bottle production is 10,000 units strong.
