Feudi della Medusa’s 2007 Isola dei Nuraghi Gerione is fabulous. It boasts stunning richness and depth, with seemingly endless layers of dark fruit, spices, licorice, leather and tobacco that come together in the glass. The style is decidedly ripe and opulent, but at the same time, the Gerione is beautifully balanced. It should drink well for another decade or so. Gerione is a Bovale/Cabernet Sauvignon/Syrah/Cabernet Franc. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2022.
