Laurent's top 1993s are massively concentrated, huge, intense wines that will require 8-10 years of cellaring. Laurent's Clos de Vougeot exhibits lavish amounts of new oak in both its aromatics and flavors. Nevertheless, it is not out of balance, revealing plenty of ripe cherry fruit, full body, and a heavy, tannic, hard finish.
