The powerful (14.8% alcohol) 1999 Zinfandel Harris-Kratka Vineyard (a blend of 75% Zinfandel and 25% Carignan) offers a distinctive balsam wood, earthy, crushed sandstone/mineral note in the intriguing nose of black fruits (predominantly cherries).
