The 2015 Langhe Nebbiolo Ochetti is a delicate and floral expression of the grape. Fruit comes from the Roero zone where light, sandy soils tend to reinforce aromas of violets, wild raspberry, bitter almond and mild cinnamon. The wine sees one year of aging in large oak casks. The style and presentation is relatively simple. Yet there is enough pleasing depth and dimension to think of a successful pairing with pasta topped with paper thin shavings of black truffle.
