All of Romero's wines are black/purple-colored, with fabulously ripe black fruit (cherries, raspberries, and a touch of licorice), firm underlying acidity, and thick, rich, concentrated flavors. The 1994 possesses great fruit, copious quantities of Provencal herb and black-cherry fruit aromas, full body, sweet, round, juicy as well as succulent textures, and a lush, soft finish. It is a wine to drink over the next 5-8 years, while waiting for the 1995s to reach full maturity.
This wine was tasted between June 1 and June 16, 1996.
