The 2007 Barbaresco Roncaglie shows gorgeous detail and clarity in its intricate layers of berries, flowers, spices, mint and minerals. Roncaglie is a vineyard capable of yielding wines of extraordinary complexity and nuance, as this fine effort can readily attest to. The balance of aromatics, fruit and structure allows the wine to flow gracefully across the palate from start to finish. The 2007 Roncaglie is the finest Barbaresco I have tasted from Socre yet. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2022.
