The 2012 Pinot Noir North Slope (1,344 cases produced) is made from Dijon clone 115, and small yields of under two tons of fruit per acre. Its lovely perfume, which reveals scents of rose petals, black cherries, blackcurrants and a subtle hint of oak, is followed by a wine with a medium to full-bodied mouthfeel and a savory, flavorful, beautifully textured, sexy style. It comes across like a premier cru from the C?te de Beaune. This realistically priced, high-quality Pinot Noir should drink well for a decade or more.
