The 2008 Teixar is quite backward on the nose and will certainly require 2-3 hours decanting. It has a very well-defined bouquet of wild strawberry, raspberry, quince, lavender and balsamic, although for me the 2009 has greater clarity. The palate is medium-bodied, with ripe supple tannins that lend it great weight but maintain fine balance with raspberry coulis, fresh strawberry, mulberry and allspice towards the sinewy finish. This is a powerful Teixar that should age well. Drink 2013-2020.
