The 2007 Teixar (previously reviewed from a 750ml bottle) is 100% Garnacha Peluda sourced from 70-year-old vines with malolactic in barrel where the wine was aged for 14 months. Minerals and high-toned black fruits lead to an elegantly styled offering with excellent grip and a lengthy finish. It has the structure to evolve for several years and will deliver prime drinking from 2013 to 2022.
Vinyes Domenech, founded in 2002, is a 42 acre estate with a cooler, drier site than most vineyards in the Montsant DO with all of the wines produced from organically grown grapes . The winery's total production is only 1625 cases.
