The 1990 Gruner Veltliner Smaragd Loibner Steinertal has a spicy, fennel-laden nose. On the palate, this light to medium-bodied wine may be 12 years old, and may have been in a wide bottomed decanter for an hour-and-a-half, it remains fresh as a daisy. Artichokes, fennel bulbs, minerals, and spices can be found in its complex character. Drink it over the next 8+ years.
