The 2012 Pegaso Granito ferments in a combination of stainless steel vats and large (2,000- to 3,000-liter!) old terracotta amphorae (from 1880!), and the wines always have a faint earthy character. 2012 was very dry year, but July was not that warm, and July is the month that marks the vintages more. It was a slow ripening year, and the wine has a a harmonious nose and good freshness, but ultimately, tasted next to the slate cuvée, this doesn't seem to have the same depth in the palate. 5,990 bottles produced.
