The 2015 Barbaresco (with 18,000 bottles made) shows perfumes of wild rose and lavender potpourri. This is an elegant wine that is laced with a delicate embroidery of wild berry, forest floor, balsam herb and autumnal or earthy aromas. It shows a lean, mid-weight approach with lots of firmness and freshness to encourage medium-term cellar aging.

The cherry and berry fruit flavors have a confected note in this elegant red, yet stay within bounds as forest floor and bitter herb elements join the party. Finishes on the austere side.
