Last Tasted 5/92
This wine is, justifiably, considered to be one of the most remarkable Italian Barolos ever made. The huge nose of rose petals, melted road tar, saddle leather, and sweet jammy fruit is something to savour. Formidably concentrated and muscular, with gobs of glycerin, alcohol, and tannin, this monstrous-sized, massively endowed, backward wine should be at its best in 4-6 years. It will last for at least two decades.
