One of the more unfocused wines I tasted with Eric Solomon, the 2013 L’Estel is an 800-case cuvee made from 40% Samso, 30% Syrah, and 30% Garnacha aged for seven months in oak. A pleasant effort displaying medium body and good ripeness, it just suffered in comparison to the other great values from European Cellars. Consume it over the next 1-2 years.
