Readers looking for a value priced Pinot Noir that has plenty of charm should check out the 2014 Pinot Noir Santa Barbara County. Rounded, textured, well made and enjoyable, it offers lots of dark fruits, plums, spice box and black cherry, with just hints of background oak and vanilla. Coming from some top sites (John Sebastiano, Solomon Hills and Fiddlestix) and aged 11 months in 27% new French oak, it should drink nicely for 4-5 years.
