A juicy, ripe and nicely textured Pinot Noir that stays balanced and lively, the 2013 Pinot Noir Santa Barbara County (11 months in 30% new French oak) offers up lots of Bing cherry, wild herbs and a touch of earthy minerality on the nose. Medium-bodied, upfront and ready to go, this solid effort will drink nicely for 2-4 years. It's another good value from this Ballard Canyon estate that's well worth the going rate.
