The 2021 Snake Charmer Shiraz is from Frankland River in the Great Southern wine region. On the nose, there are plush red berries, some exotic spice and a skein of rust/iodine, which is endemic to the Shiraz from the region. In the mouth, the wine is as the nose suggests: opulent, spicy and pleasurable. It's not an overly complex wine but one with lovely balance. 14% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

The only one of these six Vinaceous offerings to come from outside Margaret River, the 2017 Snake Charmer Shiraz deftly blends fruity and savory components, blending black olives with mixed berries. There's a definite herbal streak as well. It's medium to full-bodied, plush and velvety, ending with a wash of soft tannins.

Cedar and earth accent boysenberry fruit in the 2016 Snake Charmer Shiraz. It's medium to full-bodied, with bright fruit taking the lead, supported by some dry, woody tannins. It comes across as a bit too straitjacketed by acidity, finishing crisp and tart.
