The 2002 Meursault Les Rougeots is drinking beautifully today, if you get lucky with a good cork and good provenance, offering up generous aromas of buttered orchard fruit, confit citrus and baking spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny palate that's bright and vibrant despite its rather rich, dramatic style.

Lilies, minerals, and red currants can be discerned in the nose of the 2002 Meursault Rougeots. A tightly wound, bright, juicy wine, its mineral-dominated character is somewhat foursquare. Light to medium-bodied, it should benefit from a year or two of cellaring. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2012.
