Medium ruby, the 2019 Pinot Noir Diamond T Vineyard offers scents of cranberry, tea leaves, forest floor, aniseed and savory spices. The medium-bodied palate has concentrated, spicy flavors, juicy acidity and a long, spicy finish.

The 2018 Pinot Noir Diamond T Vineyard has a medium ruby color and blackberry and cranberry on the nose with tones of licorice, cured meats, tobacco and graphite. Medium-bodied, soft and juicy, it offers spicy berry fruits and a long, savory finish.

The 2017 Pinot Noir Diamond T Vineyard, aged ten months in 50% new French oak, has a pale to medium ruby-purple color, and putting your nose into the glass is like staring into a well of flavors: crushed blackberries, red currants, marionberries, red cherry jam, cinnamon stick and nuances of potpourri, dried rose petals, tree bark and charcuterie. Medium to full-bodied, it’s über silky, intensely flavored, super fresh and layered, with a long, just slightly warm finish.

Pale to medium ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Pinot Noir Diamond T Vineyard opens with black raspberries and black cherries on the nose with hints of charcoal, loam, fallen leaves and roses plus a waft of dried herbs. Medium-bodied with a solid frame of soft, velvety tannins, it delivers a great core of black and red fruit, finishing long and perfumed.

More tightly knit is the 2014 Pinot Noir Diamond T Vineyard from Dijon clones 777, 667, 828 and the Pommard selection. Treated similarly in terms if élevage with about 25% new oak, this is another relatively heady wine, at 14.7% alcohol. It has a much darker color than the Sleepy Hollow and is tightly knit with some austerity, more noticeable acidity and notes of pomegranate and sweet and sour cherries in a medium-bodied, refreshing style. The tannins are apparent as is the acidity, so this wine could benefit from another year of bottle age and should drink well up to a decade.
