Dense and backwards, the 2011 Pinot Noir Diamond T Vineyard spent 14 months in 80% new French oak. Showing ripe plum, licorice, oak and earth aromas at present, it opens up nicely on the palate with full-bodied richness, superb mid-palate depth and solid length through the finish. All of the components are here, but it needs another 2-3 years of bottle age to gain complexity. It should have an easy decade or more of longevity. Drink 2015-2021. I was blown away by these current releases and across the board the wines show beautiful balance and loads of class.
