The 2012 Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is 65% Semillon and 35% Sauvignon Blanc with 20% of every batch barrel-fermented in a combination of new and used oak. The blended wine then spends six months in tank on its gross lees. It offers notes of lime leaves, fresh sage and pomelo with hints of lemongrass and lanolin. Light to medium-bodied, it’s just a little lacking in mid-palate concentration with lively acid carrying the flavors to a medium-long finish. Drink it now through 2014. Blended of 52.5% Semillon and 47.5% Sauvignon Blanc, the 2011 Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc gives pronounced green grass and asparagus notes over waxy lemon, lanolin, toast and grapefruit. Medium-bodied, it fills the mouth with lemon and herbal flavors, plus a nice touch of silkiness to the texture offset by lively acid and finishing long. Drink it now to 2014.
