The 2012 Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is 65% Semillon and 35% Sauvignon Blanc with 20% of every batch barrel-fermented in a combination of new and used oak. The blended wine then spends six months in tank on its gross lees. It offers notes of lime leaves, fresh sage and pomelo with hints of lemongrass and lanolin. Light to medium-bodied, it’s just a little lacking in mid-palate concentration with lively acid carrying the flavors to a medium-long finish. Drink it now through 2014.
