The 2017 Etna Bianco Valle Galfina is a pure expression of Carricante with a slightly heavy or caramelized personality. Fruit comes from 20-year-old vines. The bouquet shows aromas of stone fruit, canned peach and a distant touch of cinnamon. In the mouth, this mid-weight white offers noteworthy textural richness. Only 5,000 bottles were released.

The 2014 Etna Bianco Valle Galfina comes off as bit closed at first and opens slowly to crushed mineral, flint, citrus and white peach. The wine shows a drying, etched personality with tight grip on the palate. Ultimately, it offers more in terms of mouthfeel than it does bouquet.
