The 2005 Gran Reserva is made up of 60% Garnacha, 30% Tempranillo, and 10% Carinena aged in barrel for 24 months and kept in bottle for 36 months prior to release. A glass-coating opaque purple color, it has greater density and grip than the Reserva cuvee as well as layers of ripe, sweet fruit. Give this nicely balanced wine another 1-2 years of cellaring and drink it from 2013 to 2017.
