The 2004 Collecion Jaime Rodriquez, from a great Rioja vintage, is a selection of the estate’s best vineyard with 24 months aging in new French oak. It is a blend of 75% Tempranillo and 25% Garnacha. A glass-coating opaque purple color, it gives up a brooding bouquet of Asian spices, sandalwood, graphite, incense, black cherry, and blackberry. Rich, layered, and plush on the palate, it has loads of spicy black fruit, excellent balance with the oak totally integrated, and a lengthy, pure finish. Drink it from 2014 to 2029. Officially known as Bodegas Y Vinedos Granja Ntra. Sra.
