The 2003 Remelluri Collecion Jaime Rodriguez is a blend of 75% Tempranillo and 25% Garnacha. It is a selection of the winery’s top vineyards and was aged in new French oak for 24 months. The nose is slightly reticent but with coaxing offers up notes of toasty oak, smoke, violets, spice box, and blackberry. Full-bodied and opulent, this richly fruited wine exhibits incipient complexity, superb grip, savory fruit, and a long, pure finish.
