The 2018 Etna Rosato shows a delicate pale color and a gorgeous bouquet that is poised and graceful yet fully intense and perfumed at the same time. It's the quality of those perfumes that counts. Rather that delivering mono-thematic aromas, the wine presents a whole flutter of pretty little nuances. Together, they portray wild fruit, blue flower, volcanic ash and mineral. I could drink this informal and easy rosato for a good part of the day.

Showing a pale pink color, the 2017 Etna Rosato is a true beauty. The bouquet virtually flutters with delicate tones of pink rose and lilac, followed by wild raspberry and red currant. The finish is reductive (the wine is made in stainless steel vats), tonic, pristine and salty in flavor. This is definitely my kind of Rosato. Some 8,000 bottles were made.

Made only with Nerello Mascalese, the 2016 Etna Rosato is another one of my favorite rosé wines from Etna. This effort shows extraordinary freshness and inner vitality with almost salt-like minerality. It presents a beautifully pale pink color and a deep sense of vibrant, tonic energy. The natural saltiness of the wine invites a food pairing of stuffed calamari or Sicilian pasta with swordfish, mint and eggplant. Some 8,000 bottles were produced.
