Deep garnet purple in color, the 2008 No 89 Shiraz presents pronounced notes of fresh blackberry, red cherry and red currant aromas with an undercurrent of violets, jasmine tea and nutmeg. The medium-bodied palate is tautly structured with crisp acid and a medium-firm level of very finely grained tannins supporting an abundance of vibrant red berry fruit. It has a long finish, offering lingering layers of spices. Drinking now, it has the stuffing and structure to age gracefully and should cellar through 2020+. No known USA importer.
