Medium to deep garnet/purple, the 2012 Special Select Coonawarra Shiraz has a lot of oak, red and black cherries, sandalwood and pepper on the nose intermixed with a Provencal herb undercurrent. Medium to full-bodied and quite oaky, the palate is youthful, has firm, grainy tannins and a long finish.
