The dark ruby/purple-colored 2000 Shiraz Special Select displays a tannic, firm edge to its medium to full-bodied, closed personality. Nevertheless, there is plenty of stuffing, power, and muscle in the long but tannic finish. Give it 1-2 more years of cellaring, and drink it over the following decade.
