From a high-altitude (380 meters above sea level) in a cool vintage, the 2015 Growers Series Packspur Vineyard Pinot Noir is a bit herbal on the nose but in a welcome-complexity sense, not a pejorative one. Vanilla and baking spices help frame cherry fruit in this medium-bodied wine, which finishes with crisp acids and soft tannins. It should drink well for up to a decade from the vintage.

Pale to medium ruby in color, the 2012 Growers Series Packspur Pinot Noir offers a very pretty nose of red roses and lavender with nuances of red cherries, cranberries and pomegranate plus a touch of cloves. Lovely elegant perfumed red fruit fill the mouth framed by a medium level of very fine tannins and just enough acid, going long and layered in the finish.

Pale to med ruby colored, the 2009 Growers Series Packspur Pinot Noir is evolving into a fragrant earth and dried flower character with some meatiness and a hint of dried herbs over a core of warm cranberries and kirsch. Medium bodied, fresh and elegant, it has slowing maturing dried cherry and earth notes and a long layered finish.
