The 2002 FA 112 is also organically produced with a composition of 65% Garnacha Negra, 25% Carinena, and 10% Syrah aged for 12 months in new French oak. Purple-hued, it has an expressive aromatic array of pain grille, slate, scorched earth, blueberry, and blackberry. Smooth-textured, layered, spicy, and well balanced, this tasty wine has enough structure to evolve for 3-4 years and drink well through 2020. Mas Igneus, which released its first wines in 1997, claims to be the first in Priorat to produce certified organic wines (those labeled FA). The current releases include one white wine. Only a tiny percentage of the wine produced in Priorat is white but they can be some of the most interesting white wines made in Spain.Importer: Opici Wines, Glen Rock, NJ; tel. (201) 689-3256
