The 2022 Southside Chardonnay is tropical and light, with pineapple, guava, honeydew melon and pears. In the mouth, the acid is soft, the fruit is pillowy and tropical, and the impact of oak is so subtle it verges on non-existent, which I am not convinced benefits the fruit. It's a combination of Gingin and Davis clone, wild fermented and matured in new and used French oak barrels. 12.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
