The 2022 Southside Chardonnay is tropical and light, with pineapple, guava, honeydew melon and pears. In the mouth, the acid is soft, the fruit is pillowy and tropical, and the impact of oak is so subtle it verges on non-existent, which I am not convinced benefits the fruit. It's a combination of Gingin and Davis clone, wild fermented and matured in new and used French oak barrels. 12.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

100% hand-picked and whole-cluster pressed, the 2013 Southside Chardonnay has appealing, ripe Chardonnay notes of honeydew, warm apricots and pineapple with touches of baking bread and honeycomb. Medium-bodied with a good amount of expressive stone fruit and melon-laced flavors, it concludes with a good, long and clean finish. Drink it now to 2017+. No known USA importer.

The 2012 Southside Chardonnay is scented of pink guava, fresh pineapple and warm peaches with touches of acacia honey and toast. Medium-bodied with a great concentration of ripe tropical flavors, the oak is still just poking through a tad while the finish is long and spicy. Approachable now, it should drink best from 2014 to 2017+. No known USA importer.
