The 2016 Vernaccia di San Gimignano Alata offers a mineral-driven and slightly reductive presentation of aromas. Some citrus and white peach pops up behind the flint and brimstone aromas that remain front and center. The wine's appearance is luminous and light.

The 2013 Vernaccia di San Gimignano Alata is fruit-forward in style with a pretty dose of sweet perfumes that recall kiwi, exotic fruit and pineapple. The bouquet is generous, feminine and deeply aromatic. The mouthfeel is simple and straightforward, making for a pretty contrast to the more embellished bouquet.
