The 2021 Branco, the estate white, is a blend of 60% Ant?o Vaz, 30% Arinto and 10% Viosinho, unoaked, dry and coming in at 12.4% alcohol. Showing reasonable body for the price category and a touch of spice, this is fresh, clean and tasty. This porch-sipping white should hold for a few years if you must hold it, but I'd personally rather drink it now and in the next year or two, for best results.

The 2020 Branco, the estate white, is a blend of 60% Ant?o Vaz, 30% Arinto and 10% Viosinho, unoaked, very dry and coming in at 11.9% alcohol, a drop over the 2019. This has its similarities to the Mariana Branco this issue, but this is better focused and somewhat brighter. It has better structure, even if only by a little. Clean and fresh, this is pleasing overall, but I do wonder if it is likely to match its recent predecessor, the 2019. It's still not all that expensive, and it should hold well for a few years, perhaps more than indicated, so it is well worth a look.

Seeming solid in the mid-palate for the regular fresh white, this is also focused and precise. The textured finish has some grip and tension as well. If I had a minor quibble, there was a reductive hint around the edges. That should get better in time—or give it some air. Overall, this seems dry, serious and impressive for the level. We'll see how and if this develops. It is worth leaning up today.

The 2018 Branco, the estate white, is a blend of 60% Ant?o Vaz, 30% Arinto and 10% Viosinho, unoaked and coming in at 12.5% alcohol. Showing good concentration for the level, better structure and nice grip on the finish, this is nicely done. There is a reductive nuance, though, which some might call minerality (the winemaker did, not me). This might shed that in a few months, but in any event, it does not destroy the wine. That is very well done. It should hold well for a few years.

The 2016 Branco is mostly Ant?o Vaz, with 30% Arinto and 10% Viosinho, unoaked and coming in at 13% alcohol. Showing fine concentration for the level, finesse and precision, this elegant, young Branco is in good form this year, one of the best versions I've seen of the brand. Lingering beautifully on the finish, it is dry and serious, with plenty of grip and tension for the level, but an understated demeanor overall. This is not quite as exuberant as the Mariana Branco reviewed this issue, but it has more finesse and a more tightly-wound feel to it. They are both good values. It will be interesting to see how long this stays in peak form, but it is pretty gorgeous and an overachiever right now. Yes, that's a hint.
