The 2014 2πr is a very ripe, dark and concentrated blend of 55% Garnacha, 30% Cari?ena, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Syrah fermented in stainless steel with selected yeasts and matured in new and used 400-liter French and Hungarian oak barrels. The fruit is dark and ripe, and there are plenty of spicy tones. The palate reveals abundant, grainy tannins that provide a certain rusticity. A heady, ripe Mediterranean red with a warm finish. 10,500 bottles.

The 2012 2πr had notes of sawdust, cherries in liqueur, dark chocolate and ground slate. The palate shows the 15% alcohol in a Porty way. There are lots of tannins and a dusty texture. There are 8,700 bottles produced.

The 2009 2 Pi R is a blend of Garnacha, Carinena, Cabernet and Syrah aged in 70% French and 30% Hungarian oak. It has an attractive bouquet of red berry fruit, marmalade and cooked meat, while the palate is full-bodied with low acidity, rendering it cloying towards the finish. Drink now-2016. Gratavinum belongs to the Cusine family from the Penedes and is a joint project with winemaker Jordi Fernandez. Gravatvinum’s 2007 2 (the perimeter of a circle) is made up of 60% Garnacha, 25% Samso (Carinena), with the balance Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah aged for 12 months in new and second use French and Hungarian oak. Deep crimson-colored, it offers a fragrant bouquet of wet rock, underbrush, black cherry, plum, and licorice. Racy on the palate with lively acidity nicely balancing the wine’s full body, it has layers of savory black fruits, spice box, and a lengthy finish.
