The 2006 2 is a blend of 50% Garnatxa, 30% Carinena with the balance Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Dark ruby-colored, it has an excellent bouquet of liquid minerality, tobacco, spice box, incense, blueberry and black cherry. Firm, structured, and full-bodied on the palate, it has loads of fruit, silky tannin, and plenty of savory spice notes, It will continue to unfold over the next 2-3 years and drink well from 2011 to 2020. (45% garnatxa, 25% carinena and 15% each of cabernet sauvignon and syrah) Ruby-red. Seductive, complex bouquet of red and dark berries, vanillin oak, Asian spices and smoky minerals. Plump and juicy, with deep raspberry and cassis flavors, nervy minerality and slow-building tannins. Picks up deeper blueberry and dark chocolate qualities on the finish, which is firmed by youthful tannins. A bit tough today: I'd give this some cellar time.
