If winemaker/proprietor Steve Edmunds had obtained more perfume in his 1993 Viognier, it would compete with Calera for first-place in California's Viognier sweepstakes. There are enticing, subdued, floral, honeysuckle and peach-like notes, but the real hedonistic blast is delivered on the palate. It is explosively rich and viscous, with gorgeous layers of fruit, glycerin, and alcohol. The younger generation would call it yummy! Drink it over the next year.
