The 2021 Pommard 1er Cru Les Fremiers is lovely, wafting from the glass with aromas of sweet berries, licorice, loamy soil and spices. Medium to full-bodied, supple and seamless, it's rich and concentrated, with lively acids and a cool, classic profile despite the extremes of the vintage.

The 2019 Pommard 1er Cru Les Fremiers is excellent, unwinding in the glass with aromas of sweet red berries and plums complemented by hints of orange oil, loamy soil and raw cocoa. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and seamless, it's deep and complete, with lively acids and a long, penetrating finish.

The 2018 Pommard 1er Cru Les Fremiers wafts from the glass with an inviting bouquet of cherries, raspberries, blood orange, rose petals and raw cocoa. Medium to full-bodied, textural and concentrated, it's lively and elegant, with ripe tannins and succulent acids.

Aromas of ripe cherries, dried flowers and candied peel, subtly framed by new wood, introduce the 2017 Pommard 1er Cru Les Fremiers, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and nicely concentrated wine that's framed by fine-grained but youthfully chewy tannins. It's an elegant rendition of a site that can sometimes produce somewhat rustic wines.

The 2016 Pommard 1er Cru Les Fremiers was reduced from four barrels to just one this year due to frost. That is just 8 hectoliters per hectare! Nevertheless it has a lovely nose, very candied, not unlike walking into an old-fashioned sweet shop without being overpowering. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, a little compact at the moment, nicely balanced with a kirsch and orange pith-infused finish that lingers nicely in the mouth.
