Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2014 tasting, Boillot's 2014 Pommard 1er Cru Fremiers has a delightful bouquet that takes a little time to meld together but eventually reveals engaging blackberry and cranberry leaf scents. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chewy tannin and a fine line of acidity, a little simplistic toward the finish but enjoyable all the same (especially given the frost damage that year). However, it does become fatigued in the glass, as if this Pommard has a burst of quality and then settles for something less. In the end, it fell some way short of my estimation from barrel. Tasted September 2017.
