The medium-to-dark ruby-colored Beaune Bressandes possesses an enticing nose of black cherries, mocha and smoky bacon. The wine also has an unbelievably silky texture. It is a supple, medium-to-full-bodied, cassis and blackberry-infused wine with notes of smoked pork. This sultry gem should be at its best between now and 2001. As always, ratings with a score in parentheses indicate the wine was tasted from cask, not bottle.A Patrick Lesec Selection (Paris Fax # 011-33-1-42-84-38-22), various American importers.
