The 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot reveals aromas of pear, white flowers, freshly baked bread and beeswax, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and fleshy palate that's vibrant and layered. This year, it includes Les Fairendes, which is sometimes bottled separately.

The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot unwinds in the glass with aromas of crisp orchard fruit, white flowers, blanched almonds, orange blossom and fresh peach. Medium to full-bodied, ample and charming, it's lively and nicely balanced, concluding with a saline finish.

This year, the 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot incorporates the domaine's fruit from lieu-dit Fairendes, and the resulting cuvée is very nice, wafting from the glass with notes of pear, beeswax, white flowers and wheat toast. Medium to full-bodied, bright and satiny, it's tightly wound and concentrated, with racy acids and a long, tangy finish.

The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot reveals aromas of pear, almond paste and white flowers, followed by a medium to full-bodied, racy and precise palate that's elegant but open-knit, with nice balance but no huge reserves of depth or concentration.

The 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot displays an attractive bouquet of fresh pear, Meyer lemon and pastry cream, followed by a medium to full-bodied, elegantly textural wine with a juicy core of fruit and a pure finish. It's attractively balanced, albeit not the most concentrated or persistent wine in the cellar.
