The EL26 Dolc is a naturally sweet Priorat made up of 60% Garnacha and 40% Syrah with 110g/L or residual sugar. Because the wine is 15.5% alcohol you might think that it is fortified but not so. The nose is redolent of raisins and dates along with lovely spice notes (ginger, nutmeg), black cherry, and blueberry. On the palate it displays some structure and may well evolve for several years. However, there is no need to delay gratification. Kudos to the Cohens for this remarkable array of Kosher wines.
